Injection system comprises a unit (19) lying in a connection of a high pressure storage unit (13) to an injector (3) to release a feed to the injector when the pressure in the high pressure storage unit has exceeded a threshold value lying over the rinsing pressure. Preferred Features: The threshold value lies in pressure region lying at the lower region of the operating pressure. A local pressure storage unit is assigned to the injector.

Die Erfindung macht es möglich, mit einfachen Mitteln die negativen Auswirkungen von injektorseitig gegebenen Leckagen und/oder sonstigen Fehlern hinsichtlich des ungewollten Zulaufs von Kraftstoff auf einen Brennraum einer Brennkraftmaschine bei Stillstand derselben zu vermeiden. Dies auch bei mit Spülung arbeitenden Einspritzsystemen, ungeachtet dessen, ob die Einspritzsysteme mit oder ohne dem Injektor zugeordnetem Mengenbegrenzungsventil arbeiten und mit oder ohne zum Injektor lokalen Druckspeicher ausgebildet sind.
