Abstract (en)

[origin: DE102006009553A1] At least one complete bath change, as opposed to counterflow operation, is undertaken in the rinsing zone (14). The change is undertaken in the rinsing zone, which may also serve for after-treatment, by removing and re-supply of treatment fluid. In the- or each bath change, fluid removed, is replaced by fresh water. During replacement, at least the free rinse fluid, is fully separated from the laundry. Several bath changes are effected in the same chamber (48) used for rinsing (or for rinsing and after-treatment). Removal and replacement of treatment fluid takes place in the same chamber. Removal of the treatment fluid used for rinsing is effected in the laundry-rinsing chamber. The laundry, without this fluid, is carried into the next chamber, where another treatment fluid, preferably clean water, is supplied to it. A bath change is undertaken, in only one section of the chambers of the rinsing zone (14). Further variants of the operation are described in accordance with the foregoing principles. An independent claim is also included for corresponding equipment.
