[origin: WO2007090975A2] The invention relates to a system for the removal of sulphur oxide (SOx) stored in a nitrogen oxide (NOx) trap associated with an oxidation catalyst and disposed upstream of a particle filter in an exhaust line of a motor vehicle engine, said system including a supply controller capable of activating the execution of a NOx trap purge task and cancelling the execution of a particle filter regeneration task when the purge task is to be executed immediately before or after the regeneration task.
