[origin: WO2007079971A1] The invention relates to pressure vessel for storing liquid or gaseous media, comprising a plastic core vessel (1) with at least one neck (2) which is arranged in the radial interstice between a connecting ring (3) for a pressure line inserted therein and a supporting flange (4). Said flange encloses the neck (2) on its periphery and has a collar (5) that projects radially outward. The connecting ring (3) and/or the supporting flange (4) consist of metal and have at least one groove that is open to the neck (2) and that contains an O-ring that is sealingly forced against the neck (2). At least the plastic core vessel (1) and the collar (5) are at least partially enclosed by a fiber composite supporting sleeve (7). Between the collar (5) and the plastic core vessel (1) at least one distance in the region that is contiguous to the outer periphery in the radially inward direction defines a gap that is filled with a malleable buffer ring (8) from a polymer material. Said buffer ring (8) has an outer contour that gradually connects the axial contiguous outer contours of the plastic core vessel (1) and the collar (5) while avoiding sharp changes of direction.
