Abstract (en)
The printing press cylinder (10) has a function layer (12) forming an outer surface of the cylinder, and a cylinder body (11) formed from phenolic resin-impregnated textile fibers or a fiberboard. The function layer is provided as a rubber layer, metallic layer, ceramic layer or plastic film. A protective layer is arranged between the cylinder body and the function layer. The metallic layer includes a nickel base or a chrome base. The protective layer protects the cylinder body against mechanical or chemical damage.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Druckmaschinenzylinder (10), mit einem Zylindergrundkörper (11) und einer Funktionsschicht (12), die eine äußere Oberfläche des Druckmaschinenzylinders bildet. Erfindungsgemäß ist der Zylindergrundkörper (11) aus phenolharzgetränkten Textilfasern oder aus Hartpappe gebildet.
