The device (1) has an upper shaping shoulder (7) and a lower shaping shoulder (6) exhibiting lower and upper shaping edges (8, 9, 12, 13). The upper shaping shoulder is arranged parallel to the lower shaping shoulder. The upper shaping edges (12, 13) are located under an angle of ninety degree to each other and exhibit an upper shaping shoulder point (21). The upper shaping edge (13) runs parallel to the lower shaping edge (9) and the upper shaping shoulder point is brought back to an angle opposite to a lower shaping shoulder point (20). An independent claim is also included for a method for shaping a foil half bag by a bag shaping device.

Schlauchformeinrichtung (1) für eine Horizontal-Verpackungsmaschine zur Längsfaltung einer endlosen Folienbahn (18) zu einem Folienhalbschlauch (3) mit einer oberen Formschulter (7) und einer unteren Formschulter (6), die obere und untere Formkanten (8,9,12,13) aufweisen. Die Schlauchformeinrichtung und das Verfahren ermöglichen eine quer zur Transportrichtung des Verpackungsguts angeordnete Übergabekante zwischen einem Zuführband und der Schlauchformeinrichtung, was den Aufbau der Schlauchformeinrichtung und des Zuführbandes im Bereich der Übergabestelle vereinfacht und eine sichere Produktübergabe gewährleistet.
