Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1990292A1] A support member used in exhibiting an edged tool 24 is provided with a support body 20 and retaining means 7, 16a, 29. The support body 20 is formed by a first sheet 1 and a second sheet 11 being superimposed on each other so that an accommodation chamber 23 is formed between the first sheet 1 and the second sheet 11. The second sheet 11 is provided inside of outer peripheral edges 11a, 11b, 11c, 11d with an opening 16 which allows the cutting edge 27 of the edged tool 24 to be inserted. The cutting edge 27 of the edged tool 24 which has been inserted into the opening 16 is accommodated in the accommodation chamber 23 so as to be covered by the first sheet 1 and the second sheet 11. The handle 28 of the edged tool 24 of which the cutting edge 27 has been accommodated in the accommodation chamber 23 is arranged so as to be superimposed on the second sheet 11. The retaining means 7, 16a, 29 supports the edged tool 24 of which the cutting edge 27 has been accommodated in the accommodation chamber 23 on the support body 20. It is thereby possible to prevent the first sheet 1 from being removed from the second sheet 11.
