Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007091923A1] The group of inventions relates to a radial-flow impeller (and to a variant thereof) for low-noise fans and compressors, to a blade for said impeller and to a tube axial fan provided therewith. The inventive radial-flow impeller comprises front (1) and main discs. The blades (3) of the radial-flow impeller are located between the discs, embodied in the form of backward-curved blades and are provided with a main section (7) and a leading edge flap (10). The side edge of the leading edge flap is arranged at a sharp angle with respect to the front edge thereof and points corresponding to the impeller axis and to the leading edge (13) of the flap and junction points (14) for connecting to the front edge disc of the next blade lie in the plane projection perpendicular to the impeller axis along a straight line. The sum of sound pressure signals upstream of the impeller tends to zero.
