[origin: WO2007101965A2] The invention concerns a method for making a particular protective garment or part of a protective garment, such as a glove, apron, vest or the like, said garment or part of garment comprising a web of mutually assembled metal particles, such as a web of interwoven metal rings, or a web of metal platelets assembled assembled by linking metal rings or the like. The inventive method is characterized in that it consists: in a first step, starting with a metal or metals with structural hardening not thermally treated, in cutting, fashioning, and optionally assembling metal particles; in a second step, heat-treating said resulting metal particles obtained, or the resulting metallic layer following the assembling process, so as to increase the resistance and hardness properties of the metal particles constituting said layer; and finally making the protective garment or providing the garment with its finished shape.
