Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007101460A1] The invention relates to a brush roller (10; 40; 50) for a sweeping device which comprises a dirt-collection container at whose dirt-inlet opening the brush roller (10; 40; 50) can be mounted in an exchangeable and rotatable manner, wherein the brush roller (10; 40; 50) has a bristle support (12; 53), from which a large number of bristles (13; 58) protrude, and bearing elements (17, 20; 52, 54) for supporting the brush roller (10; 40; 50) at the dirt-inlet opening of the sweeping device. In order to design the brush roller in such a way that long-fibre dirt particles can be removed in a simple manner, the invention proposes that the brush roller (10; 40; 50) has a sleeve (30; 42; 55) which surrounds the bristle support (12; 53) and has a large number of openings (32; 43; 75; 78), wherein bristles (13; 58) pass through the openings (32; 43; 75; 78), wherein a free end region (37) of the bristles (13; 58) protrudes outwards beyond the sleeve (30; 42; 55), and wherein the sleeve (30; 42; 55) can be pulled off the bristle support (12; 53) and pushed onto the bristle support (12; 53) in the axial direction.
