[origin: WO2007101815A1] A method of operating a combined heat and power process of building heating having a heating circuit and a gas turbine building heating system (1) with which in particular said method can be carried out. In particular, it is important that the building heating has a maximum heat demand, wherein the energy used in the combined heat and power process is partly converted into electrical energy and the process is carried out with an arrangement of multi-stage design. By means of the issuing expanded gas flow, heat is supplied to the heating circuit, with this gas flow being cooled. As a function of the heat demand of the building heating, the gas flow issuing from the first gas turbine stage is compressed to a higher degree by means of the compressor of the second gas turbine stage, which consists only of a turbine and a compressor.
