[origin: DE102006009010A1] The device has a controller (30) for selecting image data of different images (41, 42) from a video memory (32), producing horizontal synchronization signals, and for displaying the image data and the synchronization signals. A processing unit (50) receives the image data and the synchronization signals, and produces other synchronization signals for displays (11, 12) based on the former horizontal synchronization signals and a clock signal. The processing unit separates the image data in such a manner that the image data of the different images is outputted in respective displays. An independent claim is also included for a method for displaying different images on two displays.
