[origin: WO2007054400A1] Disclosed is an interleaver (IL) for a MIMO multiple antenna system (AZ2), which is connected upstream from several transmit antenna branches (TX1 with TX4) and interleaves adjacent bits of a whole data flow (DSI) that is to be transmitted. Said interleaver (IL) additionally separates adjacent bits in the whole data flow (DSI) that is to be transmitted into different partial data flows (DA1 with DA4) in different transmit antenna branches with the aid of interleaving means.
