[origin: EP1374732A1] The piece of furniture (7) may have three drawers (3) one above the other. An electric motor (5) with a reduction gear (22) drives a toothed wheel (18) and a toothed drive belt (17) to move the drawer. The motor is mounted near the rear end of a guide rail for the drawer. There are wires (29) to carry the current for the motor and a control box with an accelerometer (10) is mounted on top of the motor. A guide member (14) is mounted at the side of the drawer space.
