Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1992417A2] The device has a collecting device (5) for collecting overflowing surplus material underneath a roller (1) of a coating head. A chamfer (6) is arranged at axial ends of the roller, and runs in a peripheral direction. The chamfer receives the overflowing surplus material and discharges the received material to the collecting device, where the chamfer includes a U-shaped kin cross section. The chamfer is formed in an interior element that is attached to a front side of the roller. A feeding device (2) projects laterally over the axial ends of the roller.
