Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1993222A2] The method involves installing a multidirectional digital broadcasting transmitter (1) in a location same as that of a radio broadcasting equipment (3), whose power is larger than that of the transmitter. Radio coverage (Cv) of the equipment is extended by installing peripheral digital broadcasting transmitters (2) in rings around the transmitter (1). An emission beam from each transmitter (2) is oriented from a privileged direction towards the equipment serving a coexistence zone (Z) to reduce interference between each transmitter (2) and fixed TV antennas (4) near the peripheral transmitter. An independent claim is also included for a network for radio communication broadcasting of TV or radio program.
