[origin: WO2007098881A1] The invention relates to a composite profiled element comprising an extruded rail-type carrier profiled element (12) consisting of a light metal material, and a profiled strip (40) spanning the top surface (28) thereof and consisting of a harder metal. According to the invention, an insertion rod (50) parallel to the longitudinal axis of the composite profiled element is fixed to the longitudinal sides of the profiled strip approximately covering the top or upper surface (28) of the carrier profiled element (12). The insertion rod (50) engages in a lateral slit (30) of the carrier profiled element (12) and is connected to the profiled strip (40), preferably formed from high-grade steel, by a weld seam (48). The groove-type profiled strip (40) is joined to the carrier profiled element (12) by mechanical pre-tension by means of the insertion or anchor rod (50) thereof. Said insertion or anchor rod (50) is formed from the material of the profiled strip or covering profiled element (40), is connected to a lateral limb (46) of the profiled strip (40) in a fixed manner, and engages in a slit (30) inclined in relation to the cross-sectional longitudinal axis (Q) of the carrier profiled element (12) by means of at least one rod section (49<SUB>i</SUB>) protruding from the lateral limb (46).
