[origin: EP1201428A2] The sheets of paper are supported in the gap (7) between two cylinders (2,3). An air-receiver (9) connected to an air-supply system(16) extends over the width of the sheets' conveyor-path. The air receiver has a guide surface (11) pointing towards the sheets' conveyor path and possessing nozzles (12). The density of the nozzles in the guide surface increases in the direction in which the sheets are conveyed.
