[origin: EP1995074A2] The device (10) has a clamping jaw (34) connected with pulling arms (30) at an end (36) of the jaw. The arms extend to a bed (32) laterally past to a hand lever at distance to each other in feeding direction of the jaw. The arms are connected via a rotation axis (28), which is associated with the hand lever. Another rotation axis (24) is rotatably supported in a sliding carriage (26) in a support frame (12) along the feeding direction, where the carriage is movably guided against restoring force. The frame has a stop element (60) limiting movement of the carriage against the feeding direction.
