Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007101823A1] Feeder device (10) and method for feeding bars to a machine, for picking up and removing from a bundle at least one bar (11), to prepare it for use in a working machine comprising a drawing assembly (27) . The device (10) comprises a first magnetic assembly (13) for separating from the bundle at least an end segment of a plurality of bars (11) and to dispose at least the end segments of the plurality of bars (11) on a plane distanced with respect to the bundle, and a second magnetic assembly (21) for picking up from the first magnetic assembly (13) one bar (11) at a time from the plurality of bars (11) and to unload the bar (11) in a desired release position. The device (10) comprises an accumulation assembly (60) for receiving in sequence from the second magnetic assembly (21) a desired number of bars (11) so as to form a store, and to transfer the desired number of bars (11) simultaneously to the drawing assembly (27) .
