The connector has a cable (6) with a line (5) conductively fixed in a contact base (4) of electrical contacts (3), where the electrical contacts are designed as contact bushes. The electrical contacts are fixed in a contact housing (2) by a flexible retaining element (7) e.g. sleeve. The sleeve surrounds the contact base of the electrical contacts. The retaining element is fixed at the contact housing by an injected or extruded plastic part.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen elektrischen Steckverbinder mit einem Kontaktgehäuse (2) und mehreren elektrischen Kontakten (3), insbesondere zur Herstellung elektrischer Steckverbindungen im Kraftfahrzeugbereich, wobei in einem Kontaktfuß (4) der elektrischen Kontakte (3) eine Leitung (5) eines Kabels (6) elektrisch leitend festgelegt ist und die Kontakte (3) in dem Kontaktgehäuse (2) fixiert sind. Um die Steckverbindung einfach und mit weniger Kraftaufwand herstellen zu können, ist vorgeschlagen, dass die Kontakte (3) in dem Kontaktgehäuse (2) über ein elastisches Halteelement (7) festgelegt sind.
