[origin: WO2007107454A1] The invention is concerned with an articulated stirrup with a footplate (20) and with a U-shaped clamp (22) which has two lateral limbs (24, 26) and articulated regions (30) arranged therein, wherein said articulated regions (30) have an upper retaining part (41), a lower retaining part (42) and a hinge part (43), for example part of a bicycle chain, arranged between said two retaining parts. The lower retaining part reaches into the footplate (20). The footplate (20) has a supporting part (44) and a plastic body. The supporting part (44) is arranged within said plastic body (48) and connects the lower retaining parts to each other.
