[origin: WO2007107449A1] The invention relates to a device for drying a textile (1) containing a filling (2) that is likely to form clumps, especially down (2). Said device comprises a drum (4) which is rotatable about an axis (3) and accommodates and agitates the textile (1) in an airflow (8) traveling through the drum (4). The device has at least one beater (12, 16), mounted in the drum (4) and moved by the item of textile (1), for beating the textile (1) while it is agitated, said beater (12, 16) being permanently fixed to the drum (4).
