[origin: WO2007107389A1] The invention relates to a fitting for a window or a door, in which a leaf (2) can be introduced horizontally or vertically in relation to the fixed frame (1). The leaf (2) and the frame are connected together by guiding and/or sliding rails (7, 8) and guiding parts and/or carriages engaging therein. A motor drive (83) which engages on the leaf (2) by means of the journal (82) is mounted on the frame (1). An electric connection in the form of a cable (56) for connecting the leafs (2) to the frame (1) is established for transmitting signals and/or energy. Said connection takes place by means of the journal (82) which comprises a clamping part (receiving element 88) for coupling to the drive (83) and a receiving element for the cable (56). According to the invention, the cable (56) is held in a base plate (86) which can be coupled in a positive fit to the journal (82).
