[origin: WO2007118543A1] The invention relates to a frame for closing building openings such as windows doors and similar, comprising at least one frame profile and at least one reinforcing component. The aim of the invention is to overcome the disadvantages of the state of the art and to disclose a frame which may be simply and economically produced, has optimised thermal insulation properties with constant torsional stability in the region of the joints and the corner stability of which is optimised. Said aim is achieved, by means of making the frame profile and the reinforcement component from a thermoplastic machinable material and the reinforcement component has a material connection on at least the side thereof facing the frame profile to said material.
