Abstract (en)
The present invention relates to a package (4) and a method and a heat-sealing device for forming said package (4). Particularly, the invention relates to a method and sealing device for providing a package (4) with at least one partially open seal, i.e. a vent (42), to permit venting of steam during a thermal treatment. The package (4) comprises at least one hole (43) on each side of the at least one vent (42) to allow precise positioning of the pouch (4) during the thermal treatment and the subsequent sealing of the vent (42).
