Abstract (en)
The brick (1) has a hollow space (2) with two openings (3, 4) that are provided on upper and lower front sides (5, 6) of the brick, respectively. The hollow space is area-wise filled with an insulator (7) in the form of a floating insulator fill material. The openings are closed using a fibrous web (9) comprising plastic fibers or a hardened mixture of the insulator and a binding material, by completely gluing the fibrous web on the upper and/or lower front side of the brick. An adhesive (8) e.g. polyester resin and/or epoxy resin, is provided in the region of openings. The binding material is selected from the group consisting of cement, sodium silicate, silicone oil, calcium carbonate, albumen and starch. The insulator is selected from a group consisting of mica mineral, aerogel, aerogel granulates, pyrogene silica, pearlite, mineral fibers, foam glass and foamed clay.

Bei einem Formstein (1), insbesondere umfassend Keramik und/oder Beton, mit wenigstens einem Hohlraum (2), welcher wenigstens eine Öffnung (3, 4) aufweist, wobei die wenigstens eine Öffnung (3, 4) - in Gebrauchslage des Formsteins (1) - in einer oberen oder einer unteren Stirnseite (5, 6) des Formsteins (1) angeordnet ist, wobei der wenigstens eine Hohlraum (2) wenigstens bereichsweise mit einem Dämmstoff (7) in Form eines losen Dämmstoffschüttmaterials befüllt ist, wird zur einfachen, schnellen und sicheren Bildung eines im Wesentlichen homogenen Bauwerks mit hoher und gleichmäßiger Wärme- und Schalldämmung vorgeschlagen, dass die wenigstens eine Öffnung (3, 4) verschlossen ist.
