Surrounded by an inner casing for a bypass channel (3), a condenser (1) has a dispensing point (11) for sucking off condenser-dispensing air at a downstream position in a flow path and a dispensing air pipe (12) that runs from this and into the condenser at an upstream condenser stage (7). The dispensing-air pipe is partly led through the bypass channel, through which cooler bypass air flows as condenser-dispensing air.

Bei einem Strahltriebwerk mit zur Stabilisierung der Strömungsverhältnisse vorgesehener Verdichterluftzirkulation wird die aus dem Strömungspfad des Verdichters (1) abgezapfte verdichtete heiße Verdichterluft im Bypasskanal (3) gekühlt und erst dann stromauf wieder in den Verdichter eingeleitet. Dadurch kann die thermische Belastung der Schaufeln verringert und der Wirkungsgrad verbessert werden.
