[origin: EP2000988A1] The device (1) has an user interface (13) for receiving voting values of a user, and a communication module (11) for radio-based transmission of the values to a vote counting device (2). The module is arranged and provided over multiple communication channels, where the values are transmitted to the counting device over the selected channel from multiple channels. The module has transmitting and receiving units (112-114) assigned to one of the channels, where the transmitting and receiving units have a Bluetoothunit and a radio data transmission unit in a 860 megahertz band.
