[origin: WO2007090594A1] The invention relates to a disposable nicotine sustained release depot for a smoke-free cigarette, comprising a depot support (26) for housing and defined release of a given amount of nicotine. The gas tight sealed depot support (26) contains at least one carrier substance for the nicotine which is at least partly present in the gas phase at ambient temperature, in particular, room temperature and is first opened to release the gaseous carrier substance charged with nicotine. The invention further relates to a smoke-free cigarette comprising such a disposable sustained release nicotine depot.
