[origin: WO2007115756A2] The invention relates to a device for influencing the displacement of furniture parts (2, 3) which can be displaced in relation to each other, said device comprising a drive unit which enables a first furniture part (3) to be driven in a displaceable manner in relation to a second furniture part (2) by means of a control unit for controlling the displacement of said first furniture part (3). According to the invention, the control unit is configured such that it can detect a displacement pattern of the first furniture part (3) when said displaced first furniture part (3) collides with an object and bases additional displacement control of the first furniture part (3) on said pattern. The invention also relates to furniture (1) comprising said type of inventive device.
