Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2007116174A1] Method of managing the power supply for an electrochromic glass roof panel (1) for a motor vehicle, in which use is made of a computer (2) which is powered by the battery (3) of the vehicle and which is programmed to power the roof panel (1) via electric pulse trains, each electric pulse train exhibiting pulses having a constant amplitude and constant period, the amplitude and/or duration of the pulses in various pulse trains being adjustable as a function of the desired rate of light transmission, these electric pulses being maintained for a maximum duration predetermined so as to avoid discharging the battery (3) and followed by a period during which only the computer (2) is powered, characterized in that the power supply for the computer (2) is disconnected from the battery (3) when the ambient brightness drops below a predetermined threshold.
