Abstract (en)

[origin: DE102006017957B3] The self-closing valve (01), e.g. for a toiletries squeeze bottle, has a valve membrane (02) with a dispensing opening (03) and an edge (11) around it. The membrane is switched between dispensing and closed settings by pressure difference. A limit stop (04) holds the membrane in the closed setting, while a limit ring (12) lies in a sealed fit against the opening edge in the closed position. A side guide (13) extends axially for the membrane edge to slide axially against it to change into the back suction setting where a gap (15) between the membrane edge and side guide is freed.
