[origin: FR2899410A1] The method involves receiving data packets that are transmitted cyclically in a multicast user datagram protocol mode, where the data packets include integrated verification information. The received data packets are improperly detected among file packets that have been transmitted. A request in an unicast mode e.g. point to point mode, is transmitted to obtain the packets for a part of the packets identified as being improperly received. The data packets are identified by the packet`s relative position in the file. The received packets are stored at the relative position in the file. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for transmitting a data packet (2) a data packet receiving device comprising a detecting unit (3) a data packet transmitting system comprising a receiving unit (4) a computer program comprising instructions for performing a method of receiving and transmitting a data packet.
