Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2006102A2] The method involves exposing printing plates (16) at a lighting unit. The exposed new pressure plates are automated as horizontal conveyor (22) to form a conveyer system (15), so that new pressure plates are promoted in horizontal direction in the range of the printing towers (10,11,12). The automated printing plate of the conveyer system is transferred to another conveyer system (20), and the new printing plates are conveyed into the range of the plate cylinder position of a printing unit (14). An independent claim is also included for a web-fed printing press, particularly newspaper printing press.
