[origin: EP2006476A2] The motor vehicle lock has closing elements latch mechanism (1), and safety catch (2) with locking mechanism. The latch mechanism is placed in an open position, in a main locking position and in pre-locking position if required. A switching element (5) is provided, which has three shifting position.
