Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2006539A2] The pump (16) has an electromagnetically drive reciprocating piston (24) mounted with a restoring spring (26), for feeding liquid. An impact damper (46) damps an impact of the piston at an end of a feed phase. A core flange (50) is situated opposite to the piston with a gap dependent on the position of the piston provided between the piston and the core flange, where a kinetic energy of the piston is absorbed primarily during an early feed interval of the feed phase by the hydraulic damping of the liquid present in the gap.
