[origin: WO2007118989A2] The invention concerns an embossing device, such as a cylinder or a sleeve comprising on its outer peripheral surface an embossing raised and recessed pattern, designed to be reproduced on a deformable planar substrate. The device is characterized in that the cylinder or sleeve (2) bears a photopolymer coating (6) the outer surface of which has the raised embossing pattern (4). The invention is useful for embossing on deformable planar substrates.
