Abstract (en)

An apparatus for aerosol medication delivery, comprising: a mouthpiece member (100) for delivering aerosol medicament to a subject, a holding chamber (200) having first and second ends, the mouthpiece member (100) being disposed at the second end of the chamber and a receptacle member (300) being disposed at the first end of the chamber (200), the receptacle member (300) comprising: an opening (350) adapted to accept a source of aerosol medicament, a vent (320) permitting fluid communication for the entry of outside air into the holding chamber (200), and a means (330) for imparting a rotational flow to the outside air entering the holding chamber, wherein at least a portion of the means (330) for imparting rotation flow is spaced from the vent (320) and at least partially obscuring the vent (320) when the receptacle member (300) is viewed from above.
