Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2009177A2] The machine (1) has a sieve (6) partially encasing a roller (4), where a humidifier (9) having a housing (10), which lies opposite to a lateral surface (8) of the roller, is attached to the sieve. A fiber web (5) is formed on the sieve around the roller such that a side of the web lies on the sieve and the other side of the web lies freely. The humidifier is arranged such that the latter side of the web is loaded with a fluid applying medium (11) through the humidifier. The housing extends only on a section (A) of the sieve in a web running direction (L) on which the fiber web runs upwards.
