Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2009352A2] The vaporizer unit (10) has a porous vaporizer medium (18) provided in a carrier (12). A fuel supply line (26) supplies liquid fuel into the vaporizer medium, through an opening in the carrier. A temporary storage volume (34) is formed partially in the vaporizer medium for receiving the liquid fuel from the supply line and for transferring the liquid fuel into the vaporizer medium. The vaporizer medium has a smaller porosity in a surface area (36) lying opposite to a discharge opening of the supply line, than in a surface area (40) of the medium provided for discharging the vaporized fuel.
