Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2006053909A1] The invention concerns a machine for tying a knot using a string on a tubular sleeve comprising in particular a mechanism (4) for forming two loops on the string and juxtaposing the two closed loops. Said mechanism consists of: a rotary driving shaft (40) driven in rotation through a cycle and while the cycle is being completed, driven in translation in an up-and-down movement; and two flaps (42) articulated to a support (43) fixed to the driving shaft (40), said flaps being provided with pins (46) for gripping the string and being arranged in horizontal position for forming the two loops by rotation and translation of the assembly. The two flaps are then brought opposite each other so as to superimpose the two closed loops. The sleeve to be sealed is then engaged inside the two loops and the knot is tied by pulling on the string.
