Abstract (en)

[origin: DE102006020286A1] The canula (34) has a side opening (42) at the far end. It seals in a bore (60) in the cover (50) of the container (44), but is also able to slide along it. Cover thickness is such that when the canula is pulled out from the container, the side opening is held and tightly-sealed in the cover. The extraction device is in the form of a syringe (14) or flexible tubing. The cover is made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). The cover has a main section (52) thickness, which preferably exceeds three times the side opening diameter. The cover bore diameter is no greater than the external diameter of the canula. The syringe has two or more components, its body (16) being joined to the canula by a screw- or bayonet coupling. Alternatively a variant snap-action coupling is used, of which the construction is further detailed. In addition, a mechanical safety device is included, which guards against complete extraction of the canula from the bore of the cover, with consequent loss of sealing.
