[origin: WO2007122106A1] The invention relates to a setting device (1), in particular motor vehicle parking brake, having an external-force-operated drive (2), an actuator (4) which can be actuated by the drive (2), and a brake cable (5) which is connected to the actuator (4) by means of a connecting unit (11). In order to avoid noises when releasing and applying the brake, it is provided according to the invention that the connecting unit (11) has a torque decoupling element (14) for torque decoupling between the actuator (4) and the brake cable (5).
