[origin: WO2007118820A1] Proposed is a hydraulic support element (1) having a pot-shaped housing (2) which, in its bore (4), has a single-part pressure piston (7) which encloses a storage space (5) for hydraulic medium. The housing (2) has a passage (14) for the hydraulic medium, which passage (14) communicates with an aperture (15) in the pressure piston (7). Positioned in the storage space (5) is a sleeve-like deflecting element (16) for the hydraulic medium, between the outer casing (17) of which deflecting element (16) and an inner casing (18) of the pressure piston (17) is formed, proceeding from the aperture (15), an ascending path (19), at the end region (20) of which the hydraulic medium can be conducted into an interior space (21a) which is enclosed by the deflecting element (16). Here, according to one exemplary embodiment, the deflecting element (16) bears against the inner casing (18) with the exception of the ascending path (19) and extends with its head-side face (21) to a point directly upstream of the ball head (9). A particularly leakproof support element (1) is therefore provided, which can at the same time accumulate a relatively large hydraulic medium quantity.
