Abstract (en)

The method involves determining a congestion coefficient for each arc in an assembly of arcs of a graph, and determining a congestion coefficient for interaction nodes in an assembly of interaction nodes equal to an average congestion coefficient of the arcs. The congestion coefficient of each arc is estimated according to the congestion coefficient of the node connected to an end of the arc of the graph. Traffic information of each arc of the graph is estimated based on the estimated congestion coefficient and static traffic information of the arc of the graph. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for estimating traffic in a road network (2) a computer program for estimating traffic in a road network.

Abstract (fr)

Pour estimer le trafic dans un réseau routier de tronçons représentés par un graphe d'arcs bornés par des noeuds, le graphe comprend un ensemble d'arcs dont une information de trafic est mesurée et un ensemble de noeuds aux extrémités des arcs dudit ensemble d'arcs. Pour chaque arc du graphe n'appartenant pas à l'ensemble d'arcs et ayant une extrémité reliée à une extrémité d'un arc dudit ensemble sont estimés (E4, E5) un coefficient de congestion en fonction du coefficient de congestion du noeud relié à une extrémité dudit chaque arc, et une information de trafic dudit chaque arc dépendant du coefficient de congestion estimé et d'une information de trafic statique dudit chaque arc. Une information de trafic mesurée sur une partie du graphe se propage ainsi dans des arcs adjacents dont le trafic n'est pas réellement mesuré.
