The switch and/or pushbutton has an actuator cylinder (11) with a front side that is projected into an opening (30) of an edge (31), such that an associated key is insert-able from a viewing surface (24) into the front side of the actuator cylinder for actuating the actuator cylinder. A translucent sealant (40) is provided between an external contour of the actuator cylinder and the edge of the viewing surface and an illuminant is arranged behind the sealant for screening the sealant.

Schlüsselschalter oder -taster, insbesondere zum Betätigen einer Tür oder eines Tors, umfassend: einen Schaltzylinder (11), ein den Schaltzylinder aufnehmendes Bauteil (20, 22) mit einer Sichtfläche (24), die eine Öffnung (30) aufweist, in die der Schaltzylinder (10) ragt, so dass ein zugehöriger Schlüssel von der Sichtfläche (24) her zum Betätigen des Schaltzylinders (10) in diesen einführbar ist, eine zwischen der Außenkontur des Schaltzylinders (10) und der die Öffnung (30) bildenden Kante (31) der Sichtfläche (24) angeordnete lichtdurchlässige Dichtung (40) und ein hinter der Dichtung (40) angeordnetes Leuchtmittel zum Durchleuchten der Dichtung (40).
