Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007121731A1] The invention relates to a guide system comprising two guide parts that can be displaced linearly in relation to one another, an acceleration device and a deceleration device, the acceleration and deceleration devices being dependent on the stroke direction in a partial stroke of said guide system that heads towards a final position. To permit this, one of the guide parts comprises the acceleration and deceleration devices as a common assembly. The other guide part comprises an actuating element, which engages with the acceleration and deceleration assembly at the start of the partial stroke. The actuating element releases the acceleration and deceleration assembly from a parked position, secured by a non-positive or positive fit, and guides said assembly into the final position. The invention provides a compact, functionally reliable guide system and a sliding door assembly comprising a compact, functionally reliable guide system.
