Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2014336A1] A regulated amount of vaporized inert gas (37) is supplied to the internal air atmosphere of enclosed space (10) such that oxygen content in the atmosphere drops to a specific inertization level and is maintained at same or preset inertization level. The heat energy needed for vaporizing the liquid inert gas is extracted from the enclosed space. An independent claim is included for device for preventing fires and extinguishing fires in enclosed space.
