Abstract (en)
The machine (1) has foldable gripping units, and an interchangeable assembling tool (5) including an open groove (16) whose curvature is homothetical to a curvature of a cutter blade to be sharpened (6), where the groove is provided with an S-shaped portion (20). The groove is co-operated with two removable guiding units that are fixed on top of a horizontal upper plate (3) to manually and alternatively displace an assembly constituted by the tool and the blade, which is supported on the plate and the guiding units along the groove, using a handle (17). An independent claim is also included for a method for sharpening a cutter blade.

L'invention concerne une machine d'affûtage (1) de couteaux (6) comprenant un châssis (2) formant un cadre (7) fixé sur des pieds (8), un plateau supérieur (3), une tête de meulage (4) orientable, et un outillage de montage (5) comportant une poignée (17), des moyens de positionnement (18) et un moyen de serrage (19) permettant de positionner et de brider un couteau (6) remarquable en ce que l'outillage (5) possède au moins une rainure (16) débouchante dont la courbure est homothétique à la courbure du couteau (6) et apte à coopérer avec des moyens de guidage (14) fixés sur le dessus du plateau supérieur (3) permettant de déplacer manuellement à l'aide de la poignée (17) et alternativement, l'ensemble (outillage de montage (5) - le couteau (6)) en appui sur le plateau supérieur (3) et sur lesdits moyens de guidage (14) le long de ladite rainure (16).
